Make “Mistakes”

You’re going to do it, anyway. You are human, are you not? “Mistakes” go with the territory. They can’t be avoided. But they CAN be denied, and some of us tend to do that a lot. That denial can lead to a whole world of pain, mis-communication, avoidance, etc. When you make “mistakes” and then acknowledge them without judgment, you are accepting your imperfect humanness. Not only will that make you more appealing and “real” to other people, but it also helps you accept and respect yourself – and that is a great model to set for your kids.
